Don Vaughan was appointed Chief Pilot for Magnum Capital in December, 2003. He provides air transportation for the company in its Citation Jet, King Air 90B, and Cirrus 22.
Don joined Magnum Capital with 35 years aviation experience and over 10,000 flight hours. He was a commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Transportation Corps and by 19 had earned his commercial pilot certification through the military flight program. He served in the military as a fixed and rotary wing instructor pilot, instrument instructor, maintenance test pilot, night vision goggle instructor and a Flight Check Airman during his 26 year tenure of military service. He was a flight instructor for Flight Safety International prior to joining the company.
He holds FAA licenses as a commercial single engine land, instrument rating (fixed and rotary), and airline transport pilot: Lear Jet, Bell Helicopter 206, Citation Jet, single pilot. In addition, he is also holds certified flight instructor ratings in single, multi engine fixed wing and single engine helicopters, and instruments.
Don earned his MBA from Western New England College, a BS in Business from Hampton Institute, and a BSN from Troy State University.
